Android Error Fix

 

A recent security update on Android devices has altered the storage of cookies on some devices that can prevent an app error on login.

If you have experienced an Android System “ERR_FAILED” issue we have found success with deleting the stored ShoppingBoss cookie from the Chrome browser using the steps outlined below.

  1. Open the Chrome browser on your affected mobile device.

  2. Tap the 3 vertical dots at the top right

  3. Tap on Settings

  4. Tap on Privacy

  5. Tap on Clear Browsing Data

  6. Select Cookies and Site Data

  7. Tap on Clear Data

  8. Select shoppingboss.com ONLY with a checkmark

  9. Tap Clear

Now make sure the ShoppingBoss app is closed, and when you reopen it you should be prompted to Log In with “I have an Account”. Enter your username and password and the cookie should now be reset allowing your app to work as intended. These instructions were derived using a Google Pixel 2XL running Android 9 with the latest security patch update. Some deviations across devices are possible, but generally clearing the shoppingboss.com cookie from your device should resolve the issue. If you continue to have a problem, please remember that your account can be accessed from a browser by going to members.shoppingboss.com. This link can be added to your home screen as a shortcut as well.
